Biography:
Bryan joins the Pump Jacks after completing a solid freshman year at Nebraska, where he teamed with current Jacks Khris Tate and Chase Adams.
Bryan started 37 games for the Huskers, mostly at second base, and made a mark in the school record books with 18 hit-by-pitches, fifth-best in team history. Bryan also used his bat and wheels to his advantage, hitting .268 (38-for-142) with seven doubles and seven stolen bases in nine tries. He drove in 13 runs and scored 27 times on the season.
Bryan stood out in football and basketball at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, CO. On the gridiron he was chosen Colorado’s Gatorade Player of the Year after a senior year throwing for over 2500 yards, 31 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
Bryan spurned football, however, for a chance on the diamond, where he had an even better prep career. Over his three years at Rocky Mountain, Bryan went 21-0 on the mound and hit .430 with 15 home runs, 83 RBI and 119 runs scored. His team won the Colorado Class 5A state championship each year. Bryan was named a Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball All-American after his senior year, and Rivals.com said he was one of the top-100 players in the nation.
Also a top student, Bryan graduated from high school with a GPA over 4.0 and won the Fred Steinmark Award as Colorado’s top student-athlete in 2009.
