Biography:

Alex played his second season for the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns, where he teamed with fellow Pump Jacks Jordan Nicholson and Chase Traffica, in 2010. In 2009 Alex was used for double duty, starting 25 games in the field and nine on the mound. He was the Friday night starter five straight weeks in league play and finished 2-2. At the plate Alex hit .245 with four doubles, four triples and a home run.

In 2010 Alex focused solely on hitting. He finished fifth on the team with a .307 average, clubbed 18 extra base hits and stole 20 bases while being thrown out just once.

Alex went straight to the Ragin’ Cajuns from Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette, where he lettered four times in baseball and twice in football. Alex was all-district in baseball all four years of high school and all-state his final two years. His Rebels baseball team won the district title in both his junior and senior years.
