Biography:

Luke is an excellent fielder who had a breakout season with the bat in 2010. After hitting just .243 over two years at Scottsdale Community College (where he was a teammate of current Pump Jacks pitcher Andy Steinmetz and was coached by East Texas Head Coach Ben Taylor), Luke went to the University of Nebraska at Kearney and hit .356 while starting nearly every game. Luke doubled 12 times and drove in a team fourth-best 33 runs.

He started at third base for Scottsdale and was a 2009 Rawlings/ABCA NJCAA Division II Gold Glover as the team reached the national championship game.

At Golden High School in Colorado, Luke hit over .500 as both a junior and senior.
