Biography:

After showing contact ability in high school, Zac went to New Mexico State and immediately established himself as a power threat.

Zac graduated from A.B. Miller High School in Fontana, California, in 2009. He was a four-year starter at catcher, and as a senior he hit .544 with three homers and 25 RBI. Zac was named to the all-league team in 2007 and 2008, and in 2007 Miller won the league championship.

At New Mexico State, Zac got a chance to start right away and his play gave his coaches confidence. He played in 37 games, making 27 starts, and hit .361 with eight home runs and 33 RBI. Zac also hit 11 doubles and scored 33 runs.

Behind the dish Zac had 187 putouts and threw out eight runners attempting to steal.

Zac will be playing on the Pump Jacks with Aggie battery-mates Tyler Mack and Justin Cooper.
