Biography:

Andy, a native of West Des Moines, Iowa, pitched the last two seasons for Scottsdale Community College in Arizona and Associate Head Coach Ben Taylor, who will be the Pump Jacks’ Head Coach. He had a very good freshman season in 2009, going 1-1 with a 2.04 ERA. In 35.1 innings over 16 games, Andy struck out 27, walked 12 and allowed just 22 hits. In 2010 he was given more time on the bump. Andy pitched in 12 contests, racking up 61.2 innings and striking out 59 while walking just 18. He finished with three wins and a 3.79 ERA.

Andy was a second-team Class 4A all-state as a junior and senior at Valley High School in West Des Moines, going 5-2 with a 2.73 ERA in 2007 and 8-1 in 2008.

Andy is expected to move onto a top program for the next few years.
